Remember, at Sod and Seed, Inc. all of our orders are cut to ship and guaranteed to be delivered within 24 hours. Unlike large department stores, our sod is never held in stock and always delivered fresh from the farm. Our lawn installation services only include the actual sod installation, it does not include removal of the old lawn or preparation of the area.

What Should I Expect from a Sod Lawn Installation?

Knowing what to expect from a sod lawn installation is a great question. The simple and short answer is three main steps: remove the old lawn, prepare the soil, and install your new sod. Of course, each one of these steps can be complex, depending on the landscape, soil conditions, climate, and many more factors. However, this is the general process. You should also expect to set up an irrigation system. This can be a sprinkler system which should be installed before your new sod is laid out, or an oscillating sprinkler set-up. You should also expect the prepped area to be rolled multiple times to ensure an even, flat surface before laying down your new sod. We cannot stress this step enough in the process!
