Thank you DVC Horticulture Department!

This blog will be about the DVC Horticulture Department and collaborative, academic-based and research-based projects by Sod and Seed, Inc. 

Diablo Valley College (DVC) is a community college located in the East Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area in California. The college was founded in 1949 and serves a diverse student body of over 26,000 students.

DVC offers a wide range of academic programs, including associate degrees and certificate programs in a variety of fields, such as arts and humanities, business, education, engineering and technology, health sciences, and social sciences. The college also offers transfer programs for students who wish to continue their studies at a four-year institution.

Sod and Seed, Inc. is proud to work with the Diablo Valley College (DVC) Horticulture Department. Through academic based work and scientific project based projects, Sod and Seed, Inc. is able to grow as a company committed to education and science based practices.

Sod and Seed, Inc. thanks Professor Black and Michelle at the DVC Horticulture Department for their collaboration and hard work. Professor Black and Michelle lead a team of educators and horticulturalists that love plants and are dedicated to improving the quality of horticultural practices. The DVC Horticulture Department does an array of things to nurture plants, teach daily hands-on and project-based lessons, host plant sales, guide students through soil testing procedures, model research-based horticultural practices, and show case decades of experience in the field. 

Sod and Seed, Inc. collaborated with the DVC Horticulture Department to improve its practices as a company invested in plants and the role of plants on lawns as part of a larger eco system. Sod and Seed, Inc. engaged in key activities to grow its education and skill set with activities such as soil testing, Kurapia ground cover stress testing, sod stress testing, plant propagation, plant transplanting, plant maintenance and many more valuable activities vital to the sod and lawn industry from a horticultural 

In addition to its academic programs, DVC offers a range of student services, including academic advising, tutoring, financial aid, and career counseling. The college also has a strong athletics program, with teams in a variety of sports.

DVC is committed to providing high-quality, affordable education to its students and is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC).
