Delta Ryegrass sod with Bluegrass Information
Our Delta Rye Blue is a mixture of 90% Ryegrass and 10% Bluegrass. Like most sods, our Rye Blue thrives in full sun areas. It is also great for areas that will require wear and tear recovery such as parks, schools, and homes that have higher foot traffic. Rye Blue is less suitable for shaded areas or families with female dogs (female dogs tend to cause more damage because their urinating patterns are generally more concentrated in one area). Our Rye Blue has a beautiful green color, even during the winter. Typically, Ryegrass Bluegrass mixtures are developed for golf courses and sports fields. It is excellent in close-cutting and resisting diseases. Usually, 100% Bluegrass might have issues with overwatering, but adding Ryegrass to this mixture helps aid in disease resistance characteristics.
