Medallion Plus Fescue Grass Seed Watering Recommendations
During the first few weeks, it is key to keep the Medallion Plus Fescue grass seed and lawn moist to ensure proper rooting and establishment. Once the Medallion Plus Fescue sod lawn is established and rooted, watering can be reduced. A simple "tug test" can be done to check for rooting - if you tug on the sod and you hear or feel tearing, it is not yet rooted; if you tug on the sod and feel resistance keeping it close to the ground, then it may be ready! Watering recommendations vary based on each lawn's individual conditions. But, generally, a Medallion Plus Fescue grass seed sod lawn can be watered as little twice weekly in warmer conditions.
Medallion Plus Fescue Grass Seed Mowing Recommendations
The recommended height for a Medallion Plus Fescue grass seed lawn is between 1 1/2 inches to 2 1/2 inches. Ensure the lawn is rooted and established before mowing. The simple "tug test" can be done to check for this (see the tug test description above in watering recommendations). Ensure the sod lawn is not wet before mowing and be sure to never mow the lawn more than 1/2 of the total height at once.
