Hillside Native Fine Fescue sod is a blend of native fine fescue grasses featuring a darker, shiny green color with a fine texture, known to be a shade tolerant grass that is versatile in aesthetic. The Hillside Native Fine Fescue sod is slower growing with loose, slim leaf blades above ground and a root system excellent for slope stabilization. The Hillside Native Fine Fescue sod is a great shady lawn grass option and offers excellent cold tolerance. Designed for durability and sustainability, the Hillside Fine Fescue can be maintained at a shorter height or left to grow long, and cuts watering in half after one year of establishment, making the Hillside Fine Fescue a low-maintenance grass lawn option.

The Hillside Fine Fescue's deep roots allows it to withstand extended time periods with minimal water, making it extremely drought tolerant and well-suited for water-conscious landscapes. After one year of establishment, the Hillside Fine Fescue sod will begin to provide natural 50% water savings.
